My piece “In the Gilded Garden” will be on display at the University of Toledo’s CVA Gallery at the Toledo Museum of Art as part of the annual AIGA Toledo summer exhibition. Artists were asked to submit work under the theme of “Half & Half”; part digital and part traditional media (drawing, painting, printmaking, etc.).

I’m very excited and honored to have been selected to participate in the You Are Here Toledo Project (YAH), presented by AIGA Toledo and the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo. The project will consist of large, outdoor dots spread throughout the city featuring artwork inspired by the dot’s location created by artists and designers from Northwest Ohio. Each dot will feature a QR code and web URL that links visitors to more info about the artwork, the location of the dot, and the artist.
I’m currently putting the finishing touches on my design and in the process of writing an artist statement for the piece; I can’t wait to see all the dots go on display in June. Until then, visit youareheretoledo.com to learn more about this unique project.
I was contacted this past summer by fellow Toledo creative Taylor Jaskolski about being a featured artist on his website, TedFury.com. We had a good chat about art, film, and music. You can read the entire interview here. While you’re there, be sure to browse around; there’s lots of great content with a focus on local art and music, plus there’s a online store featuring Taylor’s limited edition tees (see below).
Issue 2 of TWOFOLD Magazine arrived in the post this week featuring my piece “Lament for the Mended” on page 7. I don’t receive many packages via Royal Mail, so it was quite a treat. Special thanks to Twofold Magazine for sending me a copy and including my work.

Three pieces from my series, The Conductor, will be on display at the Secor Gallery as part of the “Reclaiming Toledo” exhibit, presented by the University of Toledo Gallery Practices course.
"Reclaiming Toledo" is an exhibition of local artists and their interpretations of the changing Toledo landscape. It takes place in the main floor gallery at The Secor Building, 425 Jefferson Ave. The exhibit contains fifty-two works of art created by twenty-nine artists and includes photography, painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, and sculpture.
The opening reception will take place during the annual ‘Tis The Secor Event on December 3rd, 6-8p.m. and closes on January 1, 2012.
